Bertha Young

Bertha Young 79, of Paris entered eternal rest on April 15, 2024, at Medical City, Dallas. Funeral services are set for 2 pm Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Greater Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. The Rev. Richard Jones, pastor and the Rev. Joe Liggins, eulogist. 

Bertha Young was born on February 13, 1945, to the late Willie and Lula Young. She loved spending time with her family, particularly her children and grandchildren. 

Loved ones who remain are daughters, Angela Walters and Denetra Young Moten; sisters, Shirley Young Davis of Tyler, Texas, Emma Young, Glenda Sue Young, and Jo Ann Liggins, all of Paris, Texas; brothers, Grady Young of Paris, Texas, Donald Young and his wife, Shanetha, of Aubrey, Texas. Also surviving are six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Rachel, sons, Danny Dewight and Latherius, sisters Elizabeth, Mamie, and Linda, and brothers Willie Robert and James.
